Hey hows it going. I saw your pics on your car. Amazing machine. I was just wondering what do you have under the hood single or seq? I would like to do a project like this in the near future I was just wondering if you could outline the basics of what you did in order.

answers to some of you guys questions;
-carpet is brand new from Mazda
-front license plate I made from aluminum brake metal, and by enlarging the rear RX7 emblem on a photo copier and then tracing it and painting.
-I think the rims are around $550 a piece, the color on the wheel is a stock color for Volk but you might have to ask the dealer to call Mackin for availability.
-side-skirts are Apexi
-motor is stock right now, but I will be going single (TO4s) in the near future.
-I dyed all the panels in the car black, not the seats. The seats I will have re-covered in black and gray leather this winter.

Donny,
I was wondering about the plastic dye that you used. In some post forum members stated that in high wear areas the dye can wear thru and the underlying tan show....
which dye are you using?
And how much is that credit card hurting ya

The dye adhered very well to the vinyl panels (door panels and headliner). I tried to scrape some off with a screw driver and couldnt get any tan to show. On the plastic panels, the dye adhered pretty good, but if something rubs it hard enough it will scrape through. I did buy some new plastic trim panels in black, mainly in the areas where you would rub them most, like the kick panels and rear cargo bin. That stuff is spendy. If the dye does eventually rub through on the doors I will buy new panels, but I really think this is going to last along time, and believe it or not, you cannot tell "AT ALL" the panels were dyed, they look and feel just like factory..
The dye is from PPG.

I did paint cars for about 5 years, so I have the experience and equipment.
I will do a little write up in a day or two.

P.S. For those that dont know; I rented a spray booth for half a day at a small body shop here in my town. I think the guy charged $300.00. I painted all the jambs and frame rails. etc.. in my garage. I needed more heat control and some kind of exhaust system to do the outside panels for a more perfect finish.

First of all, glassman DEFINETLY needs host those pics right away. That is about the nicest color/paint job on an FD I have seen yet. I can't wait till you get the whole project done and have the engine match the looks. I took the reverse route. Mine is a "sleeper" now. I just wish I had the expertise and money to do what you did with the paint job.
The TO4S is the way to go. It has awesome spool with incredible power.
