my plan... good or bad

so far i have 99spec turbos runing just shy of 11lbs of boost w/ a dp and intake. thats it power wise unless u consider aluminum ast and tower bar performance. either way there are a few things id like to do for now. cat back mp computer and boost controller but i dont know what order.

i think cat back will be first then i dont know where to go. i want to shoot flames heh its childish but how can u not love it. either way that means i need wide open exaust and a midpipe would need to be purchased but does that mean i need a computer

i was looking to get the pettit ecu and run 14lbs of boost off of it then get a boost controler after it so i could turn it down when needed.

i dont know i only got like 1200 in the bank and all this **** is gonna run me a bit over 2 i think i was just looking for advice on what order to do it in and/or things to do/not to do that i didnt mention.

If you get cb and mp, you won't have to, but it would be safe to upgrade your injectors and get a new computer. If you get cb and mp you definately need to purchase a computer along with it. Otherwise you will be running lean and will have a better chance of detonation. Hope this helps you out man.

I say, get the ecu first. Then do the catback, then the midpipe. And don't run 14 psi on the stock POS intercooler for long. I would keep it no higher than 12 for normal driving. The pressure drop on the stock ic is huge. Your manifold may be seeing 12psi whereas your turbos may be making 14psi.

m2 recomends that after justa dp u shoudl upgrade your computer, i would have to agree, u are already seing 11 lbs of boost, it woudlnt be safe to put anythgin else on the car, i say get a m2 ecu used if u can, and then get teh mp and catback, dont forget to keep your boost under 14 psi, though m2 recommneds not running past 12 with stock injectors and fuel pump and i again woudl ahve to agree . so the right order of upgrades for you would be computer FIRST then eitehr mb or catback doesnt really matter which, if u want quite exahsut get either racing beat or m2 catback, they will be still tolerable witha midpipe. if u dont care then u can go for one of those folger's cans in teh back.

there are a lot of people runnign a DP with the stock ecu. You'd be safe if you upraded it next anyway.

computer is a certain upgrade. Then I would worry about the ic. Next get that full exhaust and shoot some flames Injectors are not necessary but help to insure your motor if running 14lbs. Also, you do know that running that high of boost is going to wear out the turbos pretty quick?

well thats the thing, with a computer am i gonna be able to turn the boost down to stock levels for norm driving then when i want more pep, go with the 14lbs? i dont really wanna be running ultra rich when i turn down the boost( but i will rarely be going past 12... i think)

If you want the turbos to last I would not go over 14 psi. Just put your ecu settings for 14 psi and then have a boost controller to keep it down to 10-12. It will not run rich unless you do a closed circuit (I think that's what it is called) and don't use the o2 sensor. Basically the ecu controls the amount of fuel by the o2 sensor telling it if its running rich or lean and by the boost you are running. I don't know all the details but you should not run rich if you only go to 12 when programmed for 14 psi.
