Thumbs up My first FD (with pics) =)

This is my first FD. As you can see, there are "custom" vents on the hood (for lowering engine bay temp). There are even reflector plates here and there, just to make sure I'm visible to other drivers at night. And to top it off, DIY paint job with some masking tape and black spray paint FTW. =D I know what you guys are probably thinking this is the coolest thing ever but just wait till you see the pictures.

Hope you enjoy

LOL @ salt shakers

And for gods sake, please save that FD. I dont even think i could drive it home from the person i bought it from. I would have to redeem the car before i left the previous owners' house.

That is seriously sad.

Wow. I think you should leave it alone as a monument to misery and sadness.

this can't be for real, there is no way in hell someone would really do that to a car, if so...I'd like to sit down with the person and figure out what their thought process was on the whole shabang...honestly

I'm really starting to think you should leave it the way it is. There are many well done rx7s on the forum. I have never seen an earnest attempt at making an FD "cool" that has failed so miserably.

HAHA, you sound like Chris Hansen from "To Catch a predator"...... "why don't you take a seat, take a seat right over there; and tell me what your thought process was on the whole shabang."

=D hahahahahahahaha, I was going to keep it going but I think Rotaryinspired blew my cover. I was trying to see what kind of funny comments I could get out of it. Well here's the story, I actually met the original owner of the car at some family bbq. My buddy was checking his auction on Ebay (he was selling a rebuilt H22) then this guy comes in out of nowhere gets all up in his face saying "ohhh damn man, how much you want fo that thang???" "I'm gonna put it in my RX-7." So I'm sitting on the couch thinking to myself "WTF??? did he just said that he wanted to put an H22 in an RX-7??"

Being curious, I asked him what year his RX-7 was. He told me a 93, I almost couldn't believe him. He then offered to take me to go see it. I had a 90 TII at the time and I was thinking "Hey, if this guy is thinking of taking out the TT 13b and putting in the H22, I'm going to see if I can get the TT 13b off of him for cheap." He took me to his house and sure enough he did have a 3rd gen sitting in the garage. We talked for a bit, I asked him if he's willing to sell me the engine. He told me why dont I just buy the car off of him. He still owe on the car and he told me if i paid it off then I could have it. I nearly shat my pants, since he owed the bank next to nothing.

All the fabrication you see is the previous owner's marvelous work. That AC vent you see on my hood, he has that done to all 3 of the cars he had. Anyhoo, I've been working my butt off to save it from it's current state. Engine work is all done by Brad (rotaryinspired), he does amazing work and I would recommend him to anybody, great guy to work with and will go out of his way to make sure you're happy with everything.

This is my first FD, I had to sell my S5 TII to afford it so I'm hoping it will be worth it (I'm sure it'll be worth it) =)

Without further delay here are pictures of the progress thus far.

I didn't have access to a truck so I had to use my parent's Camry to pick up my 99 spec bumper

Last but not least are a couple of pictures of my S5 TII I sold to get me to where I am now, I miss it so much, especially coming home from work every day and seeing it in my driveway.
