This is like Cinderella... did you sell your Tii to a family member?

Great work and such a cool thread, thanks!

I sold the TII to a guy out of Kansas. And let me clear it up, I am not related to the previous owner of this FD in any way =p

Thank you to everyone for the kind words

I'm kind of surprised you gave up such a clean TII for that turd. But I'm glad you came along to save it!

That thing was a testament to poor taste. Seriously unbelievable and makes me all the more grateful to my FD's previous owner.

Certainly saved the car. How much did you pick up the FD for?

to the op, do you work at the shop and working on the FD yourself?

what plans do you have for your build?

indeed, nice resurrection tho, whatever it turns out to be.

You save it and ruined it at the same time..... the original state was insane, I cant believe someone would even do that to a car and thinks it looks good... lol..

Good job so far cant wait to see it painted.

P.S. Are you selling those block off plates??? LMAO

The shop belongs to a friend of mine, we're just using for the time being for body work. I'm trying to do as much as I can myself. The engine was pulled/rebuilt/dropped/tuned by Brad (Rotaryinspired). Body work is being done by me and a friend, I'm trying to learn as much as I can as I go along. To sum it up, I'm really a total newb to FD's.

You probably already know from the picture, I'm running a single GT-37R BB from A-Spec. The engine has been street ported (I'm not exactly sure how extreme) Rotaryinspired can give you more details on that. Fuel system I will be running consist of stock 850cc primaries and 1680cc secondaries. ECU will be an Apexi Power FC. We'll be running a V-Mount intercooler set up from RX7-Store. That's the bulk of it, I'm still debating whether to keep the automatic differential or go with the manual differential. With my set-up, which differential would be a better choice? I have both at my disposal. I sure I probably left some things out.

To-Do List

~Engine drop in
~Paint (Gunmetal)
~Tuning
~Nick Nack (interior and small little BS stuff here and there)

I'll keep everyone posted with as much pictures as possible

Hood is actually taken, the shop I'm using is actually wanting it as a wall decor

I ruined it?

You're a good man for saving that poor, poor car! I hope it treats you well. If you're ever in KC I'll buy you a sandwich.

I you and me both have the Modified calender hanging up to April 2010, the VR FD with the old school wide body RE-A kit on it, such a nice car...'

the car is coming along nicely, looks much better then before, couple questions, (might have already been asked) are you painting the CF hood, or not, and what color is the car going to be...
