Moroso Plug Woes
Hey guys figured it's time for some maitenance/ tune up.
Looking into changing the spark plugs and wire. Leaning toward moroso wires or should I stay stock. any suggestions. only thing is trying to keep the blue color scheme so magnecores are out.

I had a hell of a time getting my magnacores to make a decent connection, so I'm glad to see you are not going with those. I think people have had good luck with stock, I wish I would have done that instead of aftermarket, hell they lasted 60,000 miles the first time.

check out
www.sparkplugs.com
NGK now makes high end "race" wires for the FD
They are called Power Cables (part # 9282) & sell for $93 a set (their blue)
I bought a set to replace the stockers & like them.
Or you can get the stock NGK wires, called the Premium wire set (part # 9092) for only $23.15 a set
Even though they list the leading & trailing wires separate, the price is for the set.
I also picked up 8 BUR9EQP (Platinum Trailing) spark plugs for $7.60 ea

I also had a set of MSD plug wires. During a dyno run at WOT they were arcing out of the leading coil. The dyno tech noticed a bright light under my UIM.
We had been having issues with high rpm break up. I put my old set of NGK stock wires back in & had no problems.
Prior to that I also had a set of 10mm Magnacores. I replaced them when the spark plug boot split with the MSD's.

I notice OBX makes both blue and red wires for the FD.

If you want blue, it's hard to beat the plain NGK's. I think the new NGK power cables are a gyp - you're not gonna get anything special with those, especially for the money - spend your money more wisely.

Thanks for your guys help, taking everything in consideration cars been sitting for a while finally getting time to keep up with the maintenance
heres what I'm planning
plugs and wires
oil and filter
drain and refill coolant with water wetter
fuel filter
flush and refill brake fluid
anything else I should look into replacing after its been sitting for a couple of months.
want to get it running tip top before I waste my cash on performance/ body parts.

Sounds like you're in good shape! The FD will feel much better after all that .
