That is a cool idea Idel. At Roebling Raceway two weeks ago, they had the Wounded Warriors and Heroes on the Track program out and gave lap time to any and all veterans that wanted to participate. We all got a chance to hang out with the vets and thank them for their service.

I'm one of the drivers but I am going equipped with my GoPro and my Sony SLR so I will take lots of pics and videos as well. Won't be real time for me but I'll see what I can do.

Maybe someone else can hook this up?

Thanks for the support David, reason I ask cause a friend did something similar only he was streaming himself playing a video game? I'm sure the club would donate whatever they could to watch you guys tear up VIR and maybe even interview the owners prior too? I'd solicit the 7th fleet to tune in Bravo Zulu to all who made this happen.

LOL.....I can't remember the last time I didn't have an exhaust leak which is why they drive me absolutely CRAZY!!!!!

I have a low compression engine along with an exhaust leak on my new exhaust manifold which probably needed a trip to the machine shop before being installed because the bolts are tight and gaskets look good but there's a pretty good leak near the bottom front bolt, oh well, what's new.

I don't think there's been a time in the last 5 years that I've been to the track with a 100% healthy FD.

On the positive side my diff isn't leaking (knock on wood)

Thankfully Pete's car is ready to rock and roll and hopefully David will have his coolant leak sorted out soon.

Logan how are you and Gordon doing?

If someone produced a nice quality video I'd pony up a little cash to buy one. Might be a nice way to support either the videographer, or the event. Just a thought.... if Modified is OK with something like that.

I will have my Panasonic HD camcorder there and will get as much footage as I can. I should be able to get all the dyno sessions and some track time. I am driving though, so footage of cars on track will be limited.

I will put everything that I get on youtube for you guys.

Peter and Dave from Modified Mag asked me to attend this event with them since I am the magazines Rotary go-to guy.

Looking forward to seeing some of you guys again and I'm sure meeting some new people!

Logan, a few years ago when I covered the Deals Gap meet for Modified you took me for a spin with the 3 rotor setup. Looking forward to a ride with the new setup.

Wow.. I'm totally jealous. First this assignment, then off to CANEPA for your new job? 2013 is shaping up to be one heckuva year for you! Congrats! Maybe you can talk CANEPA into doing a rotary car???

All looking good guys. Car sounds great Gordon. I think I may have stumbled on a solution to my coolant problem. The custom filler neck still leaks into the overflow so we are going to put an AST back into the car and let it function to control the flow. Seemed to work today when we tried it.

So if that works then I will have the tune checked, replace the brake fluid with Endless and the put it on a trailer for the event

Gordon, that engine bay is impressive. I like the simple, no frills, no emissions kind of look. I can't wait to see that in person! Glad to hear that you got things worked out David.

I am looking forward to this more and more every day. Now if we can just get an update from Logan....?!

Well actually, Canepa is having troubles getting a work visa for me at the moment. They hired me thinking it wouldn't be a problem. So for the time being while I wait for a work visa to come through, I'm just working on Porsches and Rotaries here in the frozen tundra land we call Canada. LOL.
Oh I also am a mechanic on a Grand Am race team for this season, so I do get to visit the sunny south once in a while.

Good food, great prices and the owner is a fellow rotary guru which is all that matters.

Would be nice to have a head count but I told him 10 to 15

So far this is all I know:

Pete
Me

Yep Hoi was always helping me sort things out at the track back in the day before his family grew. He was a mechanic in the army but more importantly he's an intelligent humble person and that's all that's required to master anything. He R&R'd his 1st engine and did the rebuild completely by himself with very little exp working on rotaries, I have huge respect for his mechanic skills. I can remember sooo many instances where he helped me out but it's always those little things that count like when I almost poured oil into my brake reservoir and he was like "ah sir I think you have oil in your hand hehe "..............LOL

He's been away from both the track and FD for a few years but over the winter he bought a FD from me which is track prepped and will make a great car for him. It's actually the car I'm driving in the vid I posted up in this thread.

That same car was sold to me by one of my 1st instructors Paul Ober who gave me a great deal and I just passed the love on.............it's a small world and an even smaller rotary world
