Modified Mag article

The article was in Modified Magazine. It went kinda step by step through the half-bridge porting of a 13B. It was really only a 1 page article with 2 pages of pictures and descriptions. Seems pretty informative, it did say 500 something HP@20psi.

I think the URL is

www.modified.com or www.modifiedmag.com

I don't think the article is online though. The magazine has profiles of the cars in the street class drag circuit as well.

I could scan the pages in if anyone would like to see. I would suggest just getting the magazine though. It's first (and only atm) issue is alot better then most mags out there imo.

Even better if you picked up the free 6month subscription that was run before the first issue was published.

Thanks for the simplifaction of info..After reading the article, i understood, same. However others didn't have that experience to draw on... Just thought was good mag/article/sub price... As i had considered this exercise(as i have a autotrans) I was happy to find already tried and dyno numbers posted.... Thus, if you know how to contact him i will have new rotor housing modified as per article.. Phone and/or address would be helpful. Thanks all!!! Carter

I have the magazine. There was no article..more like a pictoral. It showed the steps for a half-bridge port of a 13B (via photos...NO descriptions) which was not unlike that of a Japanese RX-7 magazine. The whole rest of the magazine is filled w/ random photos and a list of current drag cars (w/ basic specs given to all media). Other than that, there wasn't a single use of technical info. I found Super Street to be much more entertaining.

There were duplicate photos used in the magazine.

I'm predicting that the magazine will bomb. They can prove me wrong (by coming up w/ some major revisions), but it is insanely hard to compete w/ the other MAJOR publications (Primedia, etc.). I would NEVER subscribe to this magazine.

People have gotten the same horsepower numbers from a streetport and that psi, I don't see what was so special.

The magazine is kind of a rag but I 'll buy anything is it has a little piece of rotary info in it.
