Modding allowed before ecu

I have a collection of parts in my garage waiting to be installed but i don't yet have a power fc / aftermarket ecu.
what mods can i do before the car needs afuel controller such as a power fc?

parts collected:
intake
downpipe
midpipe
exhaust

what about modding to non seq? (i'm pretty sure this one needs the fuel controller)

i've got DP, exhaust and intake boosting 13psi but thats my motor and my car, dunno if ur car can handle it or not

but definatly put on the DP, take the precat out

Put intake, downpipe and cat-back on.. use an electronic boost controller (ebc) or a manual one (mbc) to set boost at 10psi. Put a boost guage in also to check for creep or spiking. An air/fuel guage wouldn't hurt to run the right mixture.. but wideband is the way to go if you have the money.

When you guys say intake, what exactly do you mean? I have those 3 same mods, but my intake is a KnN only... Does your intak actually mean eliminating the stock airbox and putting in a cold air intake?

Yes, or modifying the stock airbox in any way. If you leave the airbox stock except for the K&N, you should be fine with everything on your list except the MP; leave that off until you get a standalone ECU or Pettit rechipped stock ECU.

I run Intake/dp/mp/cb right now and have been doing so for about 4 months. Using a profecB I have always been able to keep my boost at 10psi and I have no creep... Soon I will be going non-sequential and eliminating all the smog bs. Once I have the non-sequential perfect and ready for more boost then I will go w/a PFC.

So yes you can put all of your mods on. BUT make sure you get a boost controller and keep it at 10 psi, if you go over thats when your problems will begin.

Do yourself a favor and get a boost controller. "iluvmy3rdgen" and "Mitch529" are right on the money.

Your begging for it.

How long have you been running like this?
Pushed it hard in cold weather?

I have the following mods in my signature. I recently put the stock ECU back in to try to pass emissions. The car runs fine. I noticed less fuel consumption (since the stock ECU runs leaner than the M2) and boost is limited to 10 psi instead of 12-14 on the M2 ECU. After emissions testing, I may re-evaluate the use of the M2 ECU.
