midpipe review(short)
alright. short midpipe review. im at work. just wanted to let it out before i forget
i bought an ebay mid pipe and dp combo. 115 shipped. quality of the mid pipe is good. welds are decent. came with gaskets and new bolts.
install: pretty straight through. fitment is awesome. clears everything. no rattles. bolts right up to my greddy titanium. no leaks whatsoever.
startup: so i get it back on the ground. put the key in and start it. omg! sound startles me a bit. sounds so good. deep tone, but not too deep.
driving impression: the sound it emits isnt that bad. unless you got a heavy foot and mash the throttle everywhere. i like the sound. bone shaking. lol. anyways, boost comes on real fast. harder to stay out of boost. but overall, i really dont feel that big of a difference. just made my exhaust louder and my boost comes in real fast. maybe there something wrong with my car? jk. boost hasnt spiked yet, solid 12 8 10.
mods:greddy intake, greddy titanium, ebay special mid pipe, jdm dp (no precat) and of course apexi pfc.

not really droning. the stock jdm dp does a decent job at restriction so far. it only "drones" when u are mashin the throttle. other then that, its about a few db's louder without the midpipe. yes only using the pfc for wastegate control. and no ported wastegate

Hmmm, a few decibels is at least twice the sound energy if i remember correctly...
On the decibel scale, the smallest audible sound (near total silence) is 0 dB. A sound 10 times more powerful is 10 dB. A sound 100 times more powerful than near total silence is 20 dB. A sound 1,000 times more powerful than near total silence is 30 dB.

so every 10 decibels is 10 times more powerful than the previous measurement.

[QUOTE=Sgtblue]Hey "BUD" you ever ask youself WHY you got a car "for cheap"? Maybe because it isn't legal in the states....essentially a parts car. And as far as I can tell, loud exhaust statutes are pretty similar from state to state. Enforcement varies. It may be that you simply owe a debt of gratitude to the local Harley's for making your car sound quieter. So don't get your baggies in a bunch. Windom has a point on your midpipe "review".
....no license, no insurance, no re-sale value.[/QUOTE
i do have license and insurance on my car. its obviously legal since i do have it registered and insured in the states. i have already been pulled over in the car with out any type of trouble at all. as for as your "loud exhaust statutes are pretty similar state to state" i made the statement of "very different state to state" i was pertaining to my car being legal for me to drive on the streets of texas. wtf is wrong with people on here? i post up a review on my midpie and people ***** ur thread. stfu and get out of my thread
