Midpipe/check engine light?
If I change my stock cat for a midpipe will my
check engine light trip?

Leave to hose open (venting) that goes to the cat from the smog pump. Do NOT unplug the smog pump and you'll be fine. Check engine light will only come on if you unplug the smog pump.

i unplugged my airpump without a code
check engine light is froma a sensor dying or a elec connection coming loose on one of the solonids
run the codes and see what you got

It's a huge difference in loudness. My car was perfect before the straight mp, you could barely notice that I had an aftermarket cb. After the mp, you can hear me down the street at idle. I think it's louder then a 2 stroke dirtbike now. A resonated mp will be just a tad louder then the stock cat.
