Middle part of Front Bumper wavy

My front bumper in the top middle near the hood is relatively wavy looking. I'm guessing it's from the sun... I've seen the same on a few other FDs and I was wondering if there's any easy way to fix it?

Thanks

New bumper. It happens frequently to the darker color FD's (since the darker colors absorb sunlight):

Yup. FWIW, my 1999 front hasn't experienced the same problem, had it mounted for over 6 years now

amp do you have any more info on how you did your molded support? Did you basically replace the stock styrofoam thing with it? I gotta get on this... is it urethane?

Ahh I always thought the wavy parts was due to engine heat or something. Good to know.

for my blackr1... just elevated the stocker foam a bit to provide a firmer support against the bumper..
a bit more trial and error on my ssm touring as it was worse... added a bit up top through shaping dense cork..
might also have some luck using balsa wood... these are easy to carve..
it required patience at it was time consuming considering the clearance you had to work with..
