1. Do you have emissions testing in your state?

2. If so, do you want to worry about being illegal? Do you want to worry about switching out the mp for a cat when you need to pass testing?

3. If you don't have testing, do you mind heavy exhaust smell?

4. Are you ready to try and control the boost creep that may come with a mp?

Depending on how you answer those questions will determine if a mp is for you....

Uhh, how do you have the stock main cat and the midpipe on at the same time?

MP all the way, just keep the stock cat for emissions. MPs are the best!!!! Cheaper then the high-flow too. Check my mods below... no need for extra fueling so far, not that it isnt a good idea. If I start to raise the boost with the Power FC then the inj duty gets a little above 80%. With the Racing Beat you will have a quiet exhaust note but it will scream at high RPMS. I dont have any spikes, but a little boost creep on a cold day. The PFC will control your boost fine, just make sure you get that before the MP.

Not that I wouldn't believe you, I would just imagine that the cat isn't doing it's job at all then. I doubt that would pass emissions at all here where I'm located.

quick 93 FD- The reason why everyone is saying that that is impossible is because the midpipe is the pipe that replaces the main cat. It is impossible to have both unless you have some sort of minaturization machine . The down pipe replaces the pre cat could you be reffering to that. If you can produce a video with the stock main cat and a midpipe i woulsd really like to see that.

Actually, I believe he is referring to shooting flames with a Hi-Flo Cat installed.

Exclamation

As Dan said, no welding, just bolts. However, if midpipes are illegal in your state, that first flame shooting out with the police around will be an instant ticket.
