There's alot of variables here. SPOautos ran a 12.3 with dp, mp, cb, intake, untuned PFC and drag radials.
Alot lies with the driver.

ive yet to see a car with the above mods run those kind of numbers. not to say it cannot happen cuz Im sure it has...tis just that at the track out here no one even came close with a car like that last time I was there...low 13s were the best times for those mods.

if they were running fifteen lbs of boost and had the IC upgrade then Id say that those were more likely...

Artguy, I was there. He was running 13lbs with the stock ic. He was running a juiced and stroked Z28. Can't remember what the Z ran, but Stephen beat beat him convincingly.

Cool All Driver

First see what your car and your driving skills are like with the stock set up. Then slowly add the bolt ons. First the intake, then with the downpipe, then with a straight pipe, and so on... My best, bone stock, on street tires was a 13.3. My best with a down pipe, stock cat and no muffler, street tires 12.95.

"It's all about TESTING & TUNING your car" if you expect all your after market parts to put out what you think or some else it should, think again!!

Anyways good luck, and HAVE FUN!!

see ya,

All things equal, the better driver will run the better times. No joke, right? Consider this: everything you can shave off fo your 60ft times DOUBLES on the big end. Save .10 on your 60 ft time, .20 on your 1/4 mile. Application of power is what it is all about. DP/MP/CB, intake, PFS PMS, and a pair of drag radials had me in the 12.30's, consistantly. 1.70's 60 ft, 7.90's 1/8 mile.Drag strip calculator says that's 330 RWHP. Wanna hear the kicker? Stock intercooler, 14psi of boost. Maybe not the most efficient set up, but it worked
I learned my craft on 1/8 mile outlaw tracks, so there was less track to make up for a crummy launch. Good times and winning races happens at the starting line.

Food for thought!

What kind of drag radials did you use and at what RPM did you launch from to get consistant 1.70's in the 60 ft? My mods are listed in my sig and I plan on getting some Nitto 555R's sometime soon and I will be running primarily 1/8 mile cause it is the closest track but I will run the 1/4 when I have the chance. I would like to figure out my car more and how to get it to reach it's potential so anything would help. I have heard from some people that you should dump the clutch at around 4500rpm. When I dump it on the street I get mad spin and wheelhop so I have tried slipping it but my launches seem to suffer when I slip it plus my clutch has got to hate that. Some people even go as high as 7000rpm but that sounds like it would just break ****. I plan on getting a set of M2 Toe links and Trailing arms to help with wheelhop. I am hoping for mid 12's or better but I know most of it will come down to me and my ability so we'll see.

From what I have learned recently, if you aspire to good 1/8 mile times, don't get the flywheel you have in your "soon to come" list.

I am not planning on getting a 8.5-9.5lb aluminum flywheel. I want a lightweight steel one, 12lbs or so. The Aluminum ones rev too fast and can't take enough abuse from what I've heard.
