MAP Sensor vac line keeps blowing off.

I tried using even a smaller hose but it still blows off. The line is so small and hard to reach I cant even get a zip tie on it.. anyone have a remedy for this?

Why dont you try to connect the hose onto one of those "T-connectors". Plug one of the ends, connect one of the other two sides to the hose that is hard to reach. Zip-tie that side, and then connect it to the sensor.

Yeah.. I got the hose on the nipple but I cant get a ziptie on it because its so small and wedged between the firewall and uim. Anything else helpful to say? onflytrini.. what do you mean? Could you explain more?

If you can't reach it with everything together, then takeoff/loosen up the uim and get the hose/zip tie on really good. It really isn't rocket science. You just have to get your hands dirty.

I had mine blow off twice, but this fixed it:

Note: You have to be VERY careful with any kind of clamp on the UIM. If the "legs" of the clamp face the driver's side shock tower, the throttle will stick open.

I also sanded that nipple with 60 grit sandpaper before pushing the hose on. Rough nipple + clamp = no problems so far.

I use 3.5 mm silicone hose. It provides ALL the grip you need with no zip ties...

Have you tried taking the 10mm bolt out so you can put the hose on the sensor, and then reinstall the sensor? It's certainly a lot easier that way.

The line on the sensor wasnt the prob, it was blowing off the vacuum nipple on the engine. I got a zip tie on it finally, and sorry for asking such a stupid question I guess.
