Map Sensor

Just a few quick questions.

1) Where can I buy a Map sensor from, I went to the dealer today and priced it.....$525.00....WTF is it Diamond studded.

2)Does anyone know where I can buy a stock ECU from? If the MAP Sensor is that much I think I would have a heart attack if I even asked the dealer how much it is.

I have narrowed my running rich/Glowing DP Problem to one or the other, Hopefully it is neither.
Any Help would be greatly appriciated.

Marc

Have you run a pressure vs voltage test for your map sensor? That is how you test it.

Look in the parts FS section for a stock ECU. I'm sure theres quite a few there due to many people upgrading their ECU's.

If all else fails I can loan you my old one just to try it out and either find the culprit or eliminate as a potential problem. I'm keeping it for the smog test though, so I'd need it back.

Sorry guys, No ECU for me. I think the problem may lie in the MAP sensor. I got everything hooked back together last night and I started it up, It ran richer that it used during the warm-up, and the DP started to glow a little bit, but after it warmed up it ran great, except for the whole coolig issue still.
After I had taken it out last night I got home and let it cool for a little while, it went back out it my garage after 20 mins or so and I could hear a faint hissing coming from the cooling system. I think it is the hose that connects the Thermo housing to the AST, and the non-pressure cap may be bad also, saving all that for the weekend.
Anyways, after I got it running last night and all warmed up, I shut the car off and checked the codes, CODE 13 was coming up which is the Map Sensor, So figuring it may have been coming up because I was messing with it I reset the codes and drove it again.
When I got home I checked the codes again and it was gone. However I will check it again today after another cold start.
Thanks for the Helpm, and Responses, Keep'em coming.
