Sard MFC ( Need assistance in write-up )
Sard MFC ( Need assistance in write-up )
Wiring up a Sard multi-fan controller I thought it would have Universal instructions, but turns out to be car/make specific. But I'm obvious attempting to wire it up otherwise. Trying to do a simple write up and have the ONLY write up on this product.
This product does two things < Increases fan RPM and can be used to wire an additional fan with optional switches on the back that allow for wired Fan 1 and 2 to be turned ON or OFF which indicates it can be rewired universally

This first image is for an FC3S Grounds and power and nothing fan related aside from coolant temperature sensor off the water-pump housing backside

So I got everything sorted out, but I don't see how this would even work for a car with a clutch fan... maybe the A/C condenser fan?
Side--- Notes...
This is the universal wiring after I translated
All wiring aside from body ground are splices
Red (IGNITION power) *All cars
White (12V power) *All cars
Black (Ground) *All cars
Blue (Unused *** Fan #2 Positive *** Relay splice)
Yellow (Unused *** single conjunction with green on Coolant temperature sensor *** From Harness to Yellow then intercepted and resent though Green to ECU)
Orange (Fan #1 Positive *** Coolant temperature Sensor redirect *** Coolant temperature Sensor Splice)
Green (Body ground *** Fan #1 Ground *** Shown as Redirect with Coolant temperature sensor)
Should be able to wire a Relay and throw switch power to F1+/- and F2+/-, but then again you run into the issue with no signal to interpret

are you running this on an aftermarket ECU,as you could use the Outputs to control the power to the Fans and controller??.
My haltech set off my Villager fan at 190.The ECU output went to the relay which kicked the fan on.

I could...
No this is just going to be a straight stock N370-N374 ECU wire up.
I just can't figure out what this diagram is explaining, due to the fact I don't know what this aftermarket controller is adjusting when I install the Fan controller.
Is there a stock S5? Fan that indicates under higher temperatures? Once I figure that out.. I've solved it, then i'll wire it all up and due a process of elimination.
So pretty much asking if I wire this up with only input being the Coolant Temperature sensor - what is triggered: that would be adjusted by this product?

well,to me,it looks like the sensor is the key to controlling voltage to the fans.
It would allow the fans to kick on when it gets to a certain temp and then you have the option of over-riding the temp setting and keeping them on all the time or ON before the SET temp.
Can I ask if this is s5 TII or N/A?

Ok
S5-TII still doesn't matter, this is wiring for both the S4-5 TII and N/A
The Diagram and written portion both follow the same principles.
The issue I'm having if that this is listed as the complete wire-up having nothing to do with wiring up a secondary fan.
There is a wire up diagram for the FD3S as well on this paper, It shows same -wire up except the Blue wire is connected to the trigger on the stock electric fan relay and the wiring of the Orange is + Pin out of ECU and Green is - Pin out on the ecu. So it's straight spliced into ecu except for intercepts trigger signal from the fan relay. FD3S wiring on this product is fully shown for the FD3S and is wired up completely for both fans, additional fans would require running a secondary off the primary electric fan by upgrading fuses and relays to accommodate.
If Mistersty and myself see the wiring the same atm, I still need to figure out what system is using it... There is no additional information on adding a fan it's simply just works? by adjusting a fan? It has to be the A/C fan mounted in-front of the radiator.

that thing is for controlling an ELECTRIC fan. it is for the FD people who want to turn their fans on sooner than the factory does.

Thanks?
Ok, well that shows others what the product is, that I have several in my possession? The topic again is described in re-posts: Diagram shows *FC- Wire up with trigger signal input off the coolant temperature sensor. Question being what of it? triggers (accessories?)
Since I might be the only one wiring it up to a FC3S as described in the instructions, I'll wire this into the stock location for the A/C condenser fan and see what results.
If someone has some info on what the coolant temperature sensor on a 2nd generation does aside from any warm-up or gauge functions, it would be helpful.
