Making my own oil return lines
Has anybody made their own oil return lines for the stock twin turbos, or know of a place that does?
I'm annoyed at how expensive the stock lines are. Brand new for the 3 I need I'm looking at like 400 bucks... used about 100.
Might just be better to make my own lines that I can reuse the fittings when I eventually go single turbo.
Thanks

Honestly you probably don't have much room to work with there because the returns are very short so if you wanted to use AN fittings it would be trouble with such little hose and may need to be preformed so it doesn't kink. I'm sure it's possible but may end up costing you just as much paying somebody to fab them up as getting stock replacements. What's wrong with yours?

You should post pics of specific lines you're discussing, from a manual pic if they're not out ATM. I honestly don't see the point in buying new ones, or fabricating some.
I might have used spares if you want to PM me.

Not advised... you would need to thread the oil return ports on the turbos for it to work OR make flanges to bolt on to the turbo to build off of. I agree with you, there are a lot of little things are too expensive and annoying to pay for but this is the FD market now.
Also as mentioned, you will very likely spend more to make something that doesn't work or is clunky and dumb. It sucks but you gotta spend what it costs

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I'll just find some used stock ones. I included pics of the lines I'm talking about.
I'm just missing the lines and needed to replace them, been trying to justify not blowing a hunk of cash on a turblown 7670 kit.
I decided to basically put the car back together as close to stock as possible, after starting and never finishing a high horsepower track build about 15 years ago. I'll have to go through state inspection and emissions, so trying not to get too crazy at the moment. And honestly, I just want to drive it, after it being on the back burner for so long.

Those brazed thin wall drains are better than anything you could assemble, even if there was space for the fittings, which is questionable. Avoiding internally threaded SS flanges - yuk - a weld-on, (in dash 10 minimum) would probably encroach on the fastener locations, even with reduced hex nuts.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I ended up picking up a set of used ones.
On a side note, this community has been amazing. I didn't expect too many people to still be on this site after all these years. Thank you for all your help!

Some of us older people like to use Forums over Social Media because it is much easier to organize, save and track information. We are typically still on Social Media but when it comes to all the years of information on this board, its pretty much irreplaceable and social media isn't structured to store information like the "How To's" you can find on here. 99% of the basic information/problems/mods/wheel fitment/etc on these cars can be searched on here. New products/shops are the main exceptions.
