Oil Lines

I dont know about anyone else, but have othes had problems with leaky oil lines to the oil cooler on their FC's. I have an 87 non turbo and iv replaced the oil lines twice now and its leaking again. Granted each time they were used but, it just seems that when i do its not too long till it starts to leak again. Nothin serious, just anoying, you know, little drops on the driveway. My pressure is normal, and i dont have gas in the oil so do these lines just fail at a certian age or have i just had some bad luck. I also would like to know of any suggestions of where to get NEW lines for cheap, either new lines, or places that could rebuild the lines.

I've never had an N/A before or worked on them.
I didnt know they had Oil Coolers.

Anyway, yeh, i had Oil Cooler lines problem before. I bought New Ones, although I like those SS braided lines with the AN fittings.

I think FC3SPRO.COM or 1300CC.COM have a "DIY" Oil Cooler Lines for cheap.

Ahh, Here it is CHEAP OIL COOLER LINES

try checking around your area for a hose shop, they should be able to rebuild the lines relatively cheaply and use some heavy duty hose that should last a good long while. you may just be having a leaky adapter at the oil cooler itself or an crush washer that has seen better days, try tightening up/replacing the harware as well to prevent any issues such as this.

A related thread for a little while ago. It seems hydralic lines are the way to go. Also you might need to tighten the **** out of the lines. My new lines seeped a bit at the fittings, I guess a "One hand tighten" wasn't quite enough. The "One grunt tighten" however did the trick.
