Made a lambda calculator for meth/gasoline
Made a lambda calculator for meth/gasoline
Not that its really high demand, especially since the best way it to just tune using gasoline rich/lean AFRs, but I've been fascinated and frustrated with learning web programming lately.
I'm also posting because I'm hoping those smarter with java scripting can help me here. The calculator can be found at www.wannaspeed.com/lambda.html. It works well with lambda, gasoline afr, and meth, but I wanted to add more fuels to the calculator. As you can see if you go to www.wannaspeed.com/afrcalc2.html the calculator stops working when I add more components. Been working on this all day and still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.

You don't need the with (document.cminch) { ... }
By the javascript function names, it looks like you tweaked a feet/inch converter calculator. :-)

Lol you are absolutely correct. I tried starting from scratch and I could barely get a box built. Couldn't get it to do anything. So then I converted a Celsius Farenheit calculator and added an additional meth cell. Got that to work, except when entering into the new meth cell the rest wouldn't calculate. Then I did the ft converter, that worked the best, and I thought I could just add more functions to the javascript, but no matter what I did it wouldn't work when I added new things. I even tried to change the names of inch, foot, cm and it stopped working... for whatever reason I have no idea. Maybe a typo.
Thanks for the info about the document.cminch, I thought that looked rather strange, and I couldn't figure out where this magical document even was.
I went to the calculator on your link, but it doesnt work either?

Well I took a break from it for a week or so and started working on it again today. Got it all simplified and added another formula. It now does e85 as well. going to add a few more fuels if all this math doesn't make my head spin off my body. here's the link for this one www.wannaspeed.com/lambda4.html
EDIT added E100 too
EDIT again added propane. I'm improving

Yeah I was thinking about at least making one for my car at some point. I added another calculator that calculates HP/ or turbo size requirements. I plan on adding some more based on some data howard posted.
