Lower engine cover

Hi,

i was said that my lower engine cover is missing, is that right?



Do they differ in series? If so where could i get one for a 99fd ?

Your missing what we usually refer to as the under-tray or "belly pan". You can check, but I think the part number (for 99+) is F140-56-1B0A . And yes they do differ from our series 6. I think you'll need to get a series 7 or 8.

It's an important part, you need to get it. Without it, airflow through your radiator isn't optimized and it can cause instability at high speeds.

You can log on to www.mazdarotaryclub.com and see if anybody local to you has a used under-tray for sale. If not you could try to order one from your local mazda dealer.

Too bad you have a 99 bumper, I have a brand new spare one for a 93 sitting in my garage
Its just slightly short for a 99.
Ive been itching to get rid of it.
