uuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......what does installing a BOV have to do with an upgraded intercooler?

They're are as independent from each other as me saying I have new wheels & tires, but I want to install my shift know first

Well most BOV's just make a "woosh " sound, some are louder than others. I have went through a few... Now I have the HKS SSBOV. That sucker is loud as hell!!! and it makes more of a high pithced sount than the normal woosh. It really turns heads, sounds like a bunch of canaries got trapped under my hood!

I believe that BOV requires welding ... that's why.

I'm gonna get a TurboXS type H-RFL, heard that thing is the loudest on the market right now. It's over 110 DB (too loud?) who cares, that's why, i want to be heard right. I heard a sample of it on the all-trac.net site. Sounds pretty good anf hella loud. It's no secret, the horn type like this and the Blitz makes more noise. I wanna hear how your install go CYM TKT.

Yeah I want the HKS SSBOV too... Turbovr6 are you still on stock twins?? If so, where did you mount it?? To the piping before the intercooler??, after the intercooler??, or on the elbow?? or did you by the 93-95 adapter elbow and just set it up where the old one was??

Talking

HKS SSBOV

I don't know if they are the loudest, but it's pretty loud. It has more of a whistle sound towards it. Don't get the A'pexi BOV, you will run into problems when you increase the boost.

I love the sound of a loud BOV...it's like...scary. I'm leaning towards the HKS SS.

Buuuuttt...I heard the really loud ones are extremely hard on the turbos. I don't remember the reasoning, but I believe I read that somewhere...any truth to this?

Yeah, the aftermarket BOVs are louder because they restrict airflow more than the stock BOV. Think about how loud a whistle you get when you have the window open just a crack on the highway vs. when it is fully open. Since the louder aftermarket BOVs restrict much more airflow, yes, they put stress on the turbos.

do you mean TiAl??

one of the best BOV and wastegates on the market i think.

im going to go with either the TiAl or the XS b/c i think those will perform best in the long run...if they sound good too....just a bonus

i just want to eliminate any compressor surge

exactly, I want to mount it on the piping to the intercooler because it does have to be welded. I would try it with the stock POS but it only comes with 2 adapters and I dont want to waste one, or pay to get it put on until I really need it.
