Don't get me wrong, the car is a crazy show car. But show cars are not my thing like I said. Can you drive it on the street much? I didn't mean to say it looks like a rolling box, it just takes away from the body lines of the 7. If the kit was more rounded then it would just flow better I guess. The widebody kit you have is probably one of the nicest ones. The Kazama kit actually does look like a box on wheels. Hope to see you around sometime. That kind of sucks they sat your car next to the CGT at SEMA, what did you think about that?

-Dan

As for the NCCA rule book, I'm not into the show scene like that.

Nice show car and atleast you did do some power upgrades to the car so it's not all show and no go parts. Have any problems with creaks and rattles in the winter (colder climate) time since you drive it a good bit? I just wonder how it will hold up to the usual driving abuses.

That'd be cool. You know there is someone else on this forum (fd4life908) who claims that your car is actually his. Glad to see that you are not an asshat, the other guy was an idiot.

i know what u mean bro, that's why i don't really trust this guy in the first place when u mention that this car looks the same as fd4life. 1 of the mods have already ban him, but i dun think that works as he can register another user name and prvide fake personal information

Car is looking good buddy. I can vouch as this is the joe mirabile car. How would I know? I built the custom wheels for him with that 5" rear lip.

Ok guys, against my better judgement I am posting this,This car is Joe's no doubt.I have been working with him for the last two years to get it at the level its at(I have all the pics of its construction if you doubt me) I also have fd4life's car at my shop (its is a beautful car) getting some motor work and other stuff. They are not the same people but do know eachother. As far as the doors on joes car they seem to be carbon fiber outter skin and fiberglass inner construction. They are VERY light, easly half the stock weight. and they look good. So if anyone has questions about it (with joe's ok) you can call me at the shop (856) 227-1808=JPRIMPORTS.com..........Oh the wheels are also pretty light for there size( guess 28 lbs).....Jim

Nice car Joe, I can certainly respect the time and money that went into the build up.

Thanks Vince, if anyone needs regular wheels or custom crazy *** wheels, talk to vince. Could not be a nicer guy to work with, and his product is perfect.

Jim has worked a great deal on this car, and done everything from engine work, to developing a way to bypass the power steering and ABS. The car would certainly not be anywhere near it is today without all his help and support. Any and all questions I would gladly forward to the expert. JPR imports (856)227-1808. I have it on speed dial. Thanks Jim.

Hey would you mind sharing approx. how heavy the 13" wheels are? I don't like that I'm blindly guessing. Doesn't have to be specific to the wheels you made for him -- but in general, how much does a 13" wheel weigh? I'm assuming when that wide, they're 3-piece wheels?

Thanks

I have seen this car many times at JPR Imports. I have even spoken with Joe a few times about it. Not only is it his car, but he's a straight up guy too.

For the most part, I'm a FD purist. But... The car looks pretty badass in person IMHO. I really haven't seen many bodykits that fit that well, let alone one made of CF.

When you say Carlisle, you mean the Import/Kit car show? If so, I'm pretty bummed I spent most of sat/sun at the Autocross course.

With the fact in mind that it's a show car, it's pretty slick looking. I haven't seen the interior though - that's where show cars make my stomach turn.

There is a problem for most people that make body kits that not all RX7's are the same.
I produced the carbon fibre parts for Mazda Australia that they used to build the RX7-SP and the first front nose I built fitted the car I made the plugs from perfectly but didn't match the profile on the front guard on the next 6 cars. We had more than 10 new RX7's ready to fit kits to so I made profiles of each car and made an average and changed my mould to the average. Then the panel shop had to massage each front guard to match the carbon fibre front. (the carbon firbre is not flexable where the standard plastic front is)
The other problem for body kits is that a lot of kits are fitted to cars that have been crashed.

folks are gonna do what they're gonna do to a car for show purposes, i just wish it wasn't an FD. by the time it's had every little thing modificated on it, does it really matter what it started out as? why not start with a 70's volvo or something and leave a wonderfully functional sports car alone?

at the end of the day though, it's your car not mine, so it needs to make you happy and not me.

don't let that guy from the VW GTI commercial get a look at those lambo doors!

personally i think being overly critical of things is a good way to help opinions and new ideas flow, if everyone followed the sheep method (like you seem to want them to do) all you'd hear all the time would be "oooo i love it" and it would get old, real fast... some people may be a little out of line, or a little harsh, but without criticism asking for comments would be pointless aside from an ego boost, the poster as realized this already, why is it so hard for other people to figure it out? ...

I still do not feel a T-78 is to large for a 13B, it rides real nice actually. 1500hp? I wont even give that a comment. The green emotion car owned by Jeff Ritucci has consistently beat mine at the shows so I give him credit.
LOL you claimed it right to my face at HIN with me, my brother and a friend standing there. You said the t-78 was a good turbo for the (20B) not 13B. Which it is far to small. You told me that if you where to go with a bigger turbo when you did the swap it would make way over 1500hp. Jeffs car IMO is ugly. He put that ugly vertex rear kit on it...which the exhaust is about 6 inches short of the bumper... It is atleast better than his old CF kit. But still not impressive. And all this stuff was NOT claimed on here...i talked to you at HIN in AC..remember?

And btw...your audi is ******* sick!

Almost the only thing I can agree with is that the audi is sick. I believe the T78 is a good turbo for the 13B. I am probably going to upgrade the turbo for the 20B. I think with good tuning the high end of the 20B will be in the 1000hp range. Jeff's kit is nice, you have to give him credit for what he has done. I talk to a lot of people, so you do not really stand out in my memory. Maybe I claimed my car to make 15000 hp and not 1500? Rice ROCKET. haaa.
