Wow - I think it has been 24 hours since this question was asked.

Did you even glance at the Buying Guide in the FAQ?

The people with the negative responses didn't read the FAQ or bought one with unreasonable expectations. It's not a Honda, not a vette, and not a Supra.

no doubt.....
The positives are obvious, it's a beautiful, unique, lightweight, sexy, powerful beast that corners like a mother ******.. It's everything a sports car should be. If you just wanna go in a straight line, get something else.

Also new to the forums but I have read just about every post made and have done allot of homework on the FD. First off I will start by saying the FD will only be as good to you as you are to it, this means if you do get one take care of it. anything thing you should do before buying one is try to find a shop that will be able to work on it (no a Mazda shop) and also be willing to lurn and work on it your self. Im sure allot of the members here can help you out more then me seeing as allot of them own one.

***off topic***
Sorry for posting this in this thread but I see no point in making a whole new thread for this question. I live in long island N.Y and am looking at 3 FD's, before buying one I just want to know if anyone knows of any shops in the N.Y area that would be able to work on it if something does go wrong (that I cant fix)
