Make sure all your couplings are back on tight, might have a slight boost leak. If thats all you did. If you trhink 1000- 1300 is bad try 2200 to 2400 thats what i had, but if it gets higher just unplug the white connector near the dashpot it will solve alot but i dont think that you need that.

You have a vaccum leak more than likely, check the o-ring at the elbow and throttle body. It doesnt take much, the o-ring shoul not be resessed.

Anything on the elbow side won't create a vacuum leak.

antinozzijr999,

Check the following things:

1. Make sure you didn't knock off the TPS connection
2. Make sure the throttle cable isn't restricted
3. If you have cruise control, check to make sure that's not restricted

The same exact thing happened to me and I still haven't gotten down to it. I think my issue is a bad TPS cause I had got a new throttle body after breaking the bolts on my stock one. I tried adjusting the TPS on that one and nothing. So I switched the bolts off the throttle bodys and now if I hold down the flipper on the TPS with the screw on it the idle will go low. Although I still haven't been able to do a true adjust to fix it. So not sure what we did wrong while chaning our plugs.

Ill beg to differ on that one. It might not be a vaccum leak per say but I had a bad seal where the elbow comes together at the TB. I placed a new seal my idle smoothed back down.

With the throttle plates closed, there shouldn't be any vacuum leak on the TB side. Heck, if you don't have a turbo, all there is after that is an airfilter.
