Well, first it's my personal opinion.
I think you should drive it several months, and feel the power from a stock RX7, and at the same time, you can do some research on the mods, and by the time you've known what you wanna get, THEN buy them and install it, so after all, you can tell the differences between the stock and the one with your mods put on.

I propose mods in this order , stop when you want. the first thing is do do a zip tie job on your vac lines and replace as necessary.Stock lines dryrot and blow off. Boost gauge next to monitor turbos.Downpipe to lose some heat.Cat back for better flow, look, and sound.Intake next onto the Intercooler. After this you will be needing boost control. From ther it's personal preferance really. still left would be AST replacement, removal of smog pump,ECU of your choice .Clutch / Flywheel.....etc
Have fun it get's expensive from here on out, and good luck.

Zip ties on the vaccum lines to keep them from blowing off, that seems like a really good idea. Is there enough engine heat to make them melt or are the ok? Do you have this on your car?
thanks,
Dave

I have done the following mods after much research on this forum -
M2 SS downpipe
M2 SS catback
Pettit AST
SS brake lines
Column mount boost Gauge
Hawk HP Plus brake pads
Pettit boost hose upgrade
Motul RBF600 brake fluid
wide alum gas pedal
I have a 93 R1 38K miles. I wanted to get more reliability while maintaining a stock look. I do a few lapping days and wanted it to handle the heat a little better. This also avoids getting into the computer for more fuel. You could make more power, but this seems to be a pretty comfortable place to stop. To go any further it starts to get into some $s.
Next to do - new vac lines and zip ties.
