Jerky tach.......is this normal?
my tach jerks around 1.5k to 3 k for the first 10 mins of driving,..this happens once in a while. , but it does not affect the drivability, ...its just that you see the tach needle jerking around once in awhile. does any have this problem and how to cure it.
thanks
oh yeah, when it jerks to 3 rev for example, the engine still sounds like it is idleing at 1 rev not at 3, its just the tach reads 3.

Tach
This could be caused by cold solder joints on the instrument printed circuit board, they tend to be thermal in nature. Try hitting the cluster when its doing it and see if the symptom changes.
