Does anyone know where i can find/buy a JDM side marker ? I mean the one for the latest FD, the light on the side fender.

If you get the part number i'd try a Madza dealer.

 

Just for your info, that side marker is on ALL J-spec FDs. Clear ones are about $40 a set and the Orange new from the dealer is about $22 each

 

They come on a lot of mazdas oem nowadays. Protege 5's come with clear ones, Tributes come with amber ones.....

 

So, is that mean i can get it in Mazda Dealer ? or some where else ?

Actually, the Mazdaspeed Protoge comes w/ the clear ones. The regular Protoge's come w/ the orange one (as to the MPV van). Go (or call) the parts dept, ask for the price of the sidemarker for the MPV van, and for the Protoge (not Mazdaspeed). Buy the one that's cheaper (they're EXACTLY the same )

^ the Protege 5 also comes in clear ones too.

My friend has a P5 with oem clear sidemarkers.

What do you guys think of putting a couple of led's in the side vents?

 

make sure that you cut the holes a bit smaller than you need to because they clip on and if they are just a little bigger they will fall out

 

I appreciated for all your help, and thx for all of your review and post. I actually see some SIDE MARKER in ebay but i m not sure is it the one which comparable to the 99spec'; otherwise, i need to go dealer to check it out.

These are not the same. They look like the same ones on the ATENZA we have here or know as the Mazda 3 or 6? some ***** like that

the_glass_man, they may not be the EXACT same (ie same part #), but from every pic I've seen, they look 99.99% identical. Also, in person, I haven't been able to notice the diff between my Mazda Protoge sidemarkers, and others' original 99specs. I think the originals don't have writing on them? Mine do... (white, embossed? from the plastic itself. Can't remember what it says...but prob DOT stuff)

 

I can't see Mazda making the ones for the P5 or MSP almost the same but different from the 99spec RX-7 that uses them also. I'm sure they are all the same lights.

Also, Ray at Malloy said they were the same when I called him a few days ago

I dont think so. Stuff in the US is a little different then here, but as far as I remeber the FDs are only the same as the FDs.
