Jack/jack handle/tyre stopper storage how?
Hi all,
Recently got a 2000 model Rx7 RS Jap model.
Now this is abit of a wierd request, but didn't get an owners manual (would've been in jap anyway) but have no idea how to store the jack handle and tyre stopper without them rattling all over the place and i assume there's a proper way to do it.
So it goes in on the right side, the Jack is obvious with the plate and the wire hook that it sits under.. the jack handle there seems to be a clip but can't figure out how to clip it.. lol.. i know its sad.. if it just sits there it'll rattle away against the body going over bumps.. i reckon i'm missing some other things..
then there's a screw sticking out.. and i assume some kind of wing nut.. to hold the tyre stopper.. (which i dont have)
Does anyonen of a pic of this area.. and while you're at it pic of the other side too.. coz i think i'm missing two bolts/something or rathers that fit in holes there too.
Thanks in advance.

I saw page 5-15 so I'll see if I can wiggle it in somehow to secure it

thanks bajaman.. ah.. missing that nut.. seems like just a simple one.
on the other side of the jack handle, there's a ****, does that hit against the jack? won't that make a knocking noise of some sort?
There's also a plastic bit that i thought is meant to clip against something (i thought i saw a clip in the manual) is there a clip there? or it just jams in there?
Do you have a pic on the other side?

Sorry bajaman, the left side of the car, i meant, where the tools are held in the cut out, foam block.
I.e. there's a similar flap on the left side, do you have a picture of the inside.

I see that you are able to run the jack handle where it's supposed to be, in there with the jack. How do you keep the handle from rattling? I tried everything and every orientation I could think of, but eventually wound up storing it under the carpet to silence the SOB!

Thanks bajaman, so you're missing the same bits i am too.
Yeh my jack handle rattles too in the proper position, so i've stuck a bit of foam in there to secure it.

Whatever the reason, thankfully mine is as quiet as a church-mouse.
