Recently the front left trim piece ("garnish") at the rear of the driver's window fell into the car. There must be a piece missing since it cannot be reinstalled. I think the missing piece is a "Clip, Trim," part no. LA10-68-D21, but cannot find the part for sale anywhere. It looks to be included as part of the garnish, which the parts manual says is part FD01-68-51YD. The garnish is shown on various vendors, but images show only the plastic garnish's surface, never the other side with the missing piece. It looks like the missing piece fits over one of the posts of the garnish and fills a large rectangular hole in the door. Does anyone know of a substitute piece that can do that?
Thanks for reading!

Is this the piece you're looking for?

Yes, armans, that is the part! Apparently not available from U.S. vendors; I was forced to order the garnish (which includes this clip) in order to get the trim clip. $48 for the group + tax = $52. No doubt the most I have ever paid for a trim clip. More like getting a fancy haircut. Now I will have two garnishes, but one with no trim clip.

The best place to buy interior plastics and weather-strips now is eBay. They are cheap out of japan and if you can contact a seller and pay directly they may discount the cost.
Way way back we called those barrel-clips which obviously came in many sizes on different cars.
FWIW, in a pinch some clear silicone in the hole before inserting the trim/molding, and then mask-taping it in place until the silicone sets has worked for me. No rattle or real mess and you’ll have to pull just about as hard on the garnish to remove as you would with the clip.

Edit: Have received and installed new garnish with "barrel clips" on its posts. Whacked it into place... seems very solid now.
