Got my first RX-7 and not so good at finding things yet. I am looking for a replacement for the interior door trim piece on the handle pictured below. Any suggestions on where to find such a piece or what it is even called would be helpful. The car is 1980

That trim cap is notorious for breaking in just that way. Unfortunately, this was a 1980 model year only part and are extremely rare these days. You might get lucky and fine someone with a spare. You probably stand a better chance by constantly scanning for any 1980 car that is being parted out and inquiring on if it has any good upper door handle, chrome trim caps. they are interchangeable side to side.
