intercooler piping help

Hey guys I think I am going to pick up a Greddy throttle elbow from some guy on craigslist. He's selling it for 85 and its suppose to be brand new and not used. That's a good deal right? The problem i have is can i still use it with the other stock piping or what i need to get the rest of the piping. I can't seem to find a site that will sell the pipes separately only the elbow. Is my best bet to wait and find them on the for sale section? Would the pipings be considered a reliability mod or increase hp?

The piping alone isn't going to increase power. The stock piping is prone to splitting as it ages and takes temperature changes. Also as boost increases the stock piping isn't good enough.
If you're stock or near stock, it's going to be more of a mod for show.

Oh dang i think it'll be a mod for show then. Is there a way to install the elbow only without the other pipes?

The Greddy elbow is shorter than the stock elbow. If you don't use the full kit, then you'll need some kind of adapter/piping from the elbow to the stock IC to make up the size difference.

The greddy elbow will also remove your not have a port for your CRV (i think that's the proper acronym) that plugs into the back of your stock elbow.
