Cruise Control Swap?

Ok..just searched through 10 pages for cruise control....

I was wondering if anyone has taken the cruise control out of a touring model and put it in an R1 model?

That's basically what I want to do or see if it is doable. I have both cars...both are 93.

Steering wheel and the cruse control module in the engine bay of course? What else do I need to transfer and is it relatively simple to do?

Anyone have instructions? What can I say...I like cruise control on long trips. Helps keep from getting on the gas so much and getting a ticket Thanks!

Straight swap. PM turbojeff if you need help since that's his writeup from over a decade ago. He deserves all the credit and thank you notes.

The hardest part...if you can call it that, was pulling back the dash gauge hood to install the on/off switch. in addition to the column cover, and peice under the dash, you have to take off the HVAC controls cover...or at least pull it out far enough to access things. Just take your time and be careful with all the old plastic.
