Question Intercooler piping anyone?

Anyone know of a good place I can get some piping? I literally only need one piece a out 8-9" long. Is eBay my best bet?

eBay or a performance shop that builds custom ic kits or a diesel shop

I've gone through several iterations of making my own piping. You can buy individual bends (45, 90, 180) and cut just what angle you need out of them. IIRC the stock I/C pipe size is 2.75" OD btw. If you're doing a compound bend or a long pipe you may need to couple several different cuts together. It works best if you bead the edges. More recently I got a TIG welder and made some new pipes that way.

I bought my bends here.

Used a homemade bead tool from this site to finish it up.

In a pinch I grabbed a piece of exhaust piping.Actually used it for my BOV pipe with the steel flange.
Getting aluminum pipe welded around here was expensive as hell.
You can get exhaust piping anywhere and don't have to wait for Ebay **** to show up at your door!

CXRacing has "ok piping".

I thought about using exhaust pipe but I didn't know how "ghetto" that would look. Did it turn out ok? I even thought about using rubber hosing if I could find any big enough I only need a piece that's about 6-7" long max

verocious motorsport -- has most everything

online metals -- usually the best price for straight, unpolished sections

I used 3 inch exhaust pipe.
I don't think that you can run any bigger for an intercooler setup.
I painted the piece blue, but honestly if you spray it silver it would be hard to notice.
..and 9 inches isn't all that big...ask the girls at the BAR..lol!

As I said it was in a pinch.I still have it ON the car as I got other things to deal with but it works fine.

Im In the process of fabricating some ducting for the intercooler right now. I'm making it out of fiberglass. Maybe I'll pick up some of that exhaust piping until I can get my hands on some IC piping
