intercooler pipes

does anybody make intercooler pipes that fit the stock intercooler besides greddy? I know bomz makes those intake pipes, and was wondering if some other knock off company makes the boost pipes instead of/in addition to the intake pipes. I'm looking for some cheap mandrel bent pipes.

I also noticed that the intake pipes are a bit smaller diameter than the boost pipes. Are the bomz ebay pipes the smaller diameter? I have a bunch of couplers, its just that they might be the wrong size. I tried to use my couplers in place of the crappy stock ones, and they fit way too loosely. I know the bomz one comes with silicone couplers, but I've also read that these things are pretty much worthless. Suggestions on getting the couplers anybody?

HKS also makes a boost piping kit.

Pettit has some better couplers and elbows in a kit, I think.

The intake pipes are smaller because there are two of them, and there is only one flow path for the boosted air after the y-pipe. I think the size of the intake pipes is about 2".

If you need new intake hoses, you can get some Santoprene hose from McMaster-Carr for about $15 that works great (and stands up to the test of time). Search this site or ScuderiaCiriani.com for details about the McMaster hose. Or you can just go to mcmaster.com and find 2" Santoprene TPR hose. It ain't pretty and won't flow as well as mandrel bent pipes, but it is way cheaper and easy to install.

intake couplers are ~ 2.5". The i/c pipes require ~ 3". I buy all my couplers from Baker Precision, but that's mainly because I'm close... they are ~$20-25 per ft, more than max's suggestion.

GoRacer (rob) is trying to get rid of his Greddy smic which comes with a couple pipes, if you are interested

My first FD came with i/c hoses from here:
http://www.tripointengineering.com/C...ages/other.htm
They don't list prices, so I'm not sure about the costs...

My suggestion for the Santoprene hose is not for couplers. It is for replacing the rubber 90 degree hose between the primary compressor inlet and the air box that tends to suck itself shut. There are hard pipe kits for >$200, but you can also replace the hoses with <$20 of Santoprene hose from McMaster-Carr.

The OD may be 2.5" and 3", but the pipe sizes are 2" and 2.75". I am certain that all the couplers for the boost hoses are 2.75" (order this size if that is what you are looking for). The couplers for the intake hoses are most likely 2" (since that is the size of Santoprene hose that can be used instead of pipes and couplers), but I am less certain about that.

^The couplers for the boost hoses are 2.75" all of them.

I just got the Bomz Intake Pipes and you dont want them....they may be cheap but they really dont fit correctly. I will use them for now, untill i get the money to get a better set.

well, I have the HKS intake kit that uses the stock hoses, but removes the stock airbox and replaces it with the two green mushrooms. They can be moved into a lot of positions granted the brackets let them go a certain distance. Anyhow, I think I might be able to use the bomz kit with a bit of fabrication. If you want to sell me your pipes, I'll take 'em. PM me with a price.

If i had something to replace them with i would sell them to ya...but somehow one of my stock tubes got a hole in it allowing unfiltered air in, so im gonna keep the Bomz set for a few months, and replace them later with something much better, or do some "adjusting" on them to get them to fit correctly.
