They should work just fine. The Racing beat product is just to direct the air at the filters more accurately than the stock piece can. Personally, I don't think it's necessary. If I were you I'd just buy the intake. But if you want both they'll work fine together.

apexi intake is fine by itself. i dont think you need the rb box. its just a replacement for the front plastic duct that imo is not needed w/ the apexi. just cover the hole over the ic duct if you leave the front cover peice off. i think it works better without the front plastic peice. thers a thread somewhere on here that tells why. just search for "apexi intake"

Colder is always better, however with the stock intercooler it's not going to matter a whole lot.

If you are concerned with reliability with the car, you'll want a cold air intake.

Depends on the goals for your car. What are you looking to do with the car?

Honestly, unless you have a specific need, you should just keep the stock air box and just modify it:

Just opening up the intake isn't going to get you much by itself. In combination with other mods, it will. What you should start doing is "planning" your upgrade path. Take a read through this page:

The racing Beat upgrade won't do much for you without the airbox. With the airbox, it will allow the intake to take a more direct path to the airfilters because the intake is sucked thru the inlet.

With the open filters, air is sucked from everywhere in the engine compartment, which will include warm air. It will not suck much thru the RB pipe.

A better alternative would be to modify your stock airbox without the RB duct. Check out this thread:

No, the RB duct is intended to be used with the stock airbox. The Apexi intake is a stand alone intake system (you have to remove the stock airbox). I had the RB duct for awhile. It's fine, but anytime you need to remove the airbox, the whole RB duct assembly has to be redone with fresh silicone sealant. It's a PITA. IMHO, get a real intake, whether it be a cold air, or open-type (I won't even touch that discussion).

Just buy one and see if you like it. And be more damned specific with your question than "what's better". It's pretty obvious it's just a personal preference, so make your choice!
