Royal Purple OIL???

When I bought the car, I did an oil change and use Royal Puple, Full syntetic 20w50 oil.

Am I going to be alright with this brand of oil. Because I also heard that mineral oil are suit for the rotary engines only???

If so what kind of oil or brand carry mineral oil.???

But really, I want to stick to Royal Purple 20w50.

Any anwswer will help??? thanks

My car has always had Royal Purple in it, and I premix with Royal Purple TCWIII 2-stroke.

I have never had any problems with it.

Royal Purple is great. I also think you should stick to 10w30 for Bay Area weather.

I've used Redline for 9 years on rotary with no ill-effects.

Engine death was due to other factors like detonation, overheating and one time I forgot to put oil in (long and stupid story that was my fault).

He's right, you shouldn't be using 20w50 for the winter months here.

I use 20w50 all year long.

The FD makes so much temperature that IMHO bay area weather changes doesn't seem to phase that.

10w-30 Royal Purple baby! BTW, thicker is not necessarily better. You don't want to pump thick molasses oil through the engine, esp. when cold.

Royal Purple also makes transmission and gear Oil. Both of which are in my car. Great stuff!

premixing - pouring about 4 oz or so of any 2 stoke oil in the gas tank before filling up. Helps keep the seal nicely lubricated.
