Angry Installed midpipe and now 5psi?????

Well,

I was running a bit sluggish so it was suggested that maybe my cat was clogged. A buddy of mine had a midpipe which I installed tonight. Now I am getting 5psi max.

I was running an 11-10-12 pattern with a very slow spoolup, throwing flames when I was very hot at WOT with slow high end accelleration. I pulled all of the intercooler hoses and check them, no cracks.

I have DP, MP, CB, Intake, ECU upgrade.

Did I miss something? Do I need to plug up the airpump?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you go with a MP I believe that you must remove your airpump

dont forget to tune your car after putting on the midpipe

Apparently I didn't look close enough at the hses the first time. The lower intercooler hose is cracked. The local Mazda dealer wants over $200 and doesn't have it in stock.

is there a replacement for the stock part?

Go to any performance shop....those couplers should be no more than 20 bucks... They're out of their mind for asking for 200 bucks for a piece of rubber.

I have a stock ic with both hoses - they have 24,000 miles on them. I'll sell you the hose for $20 plus shipping if you want it. Let me know - email (quickrx7@yahoo.com)

THanks, but a guy in our club (Cincy RX-7) had a spare and gave it to me.

After a lot of hose inspection and replacement new spark plugs and installation of the midpipe, I am feeling acceleration like I never had. I have had this car since November and I think the cat was clogged when I got it.

Not too crazy about how loud it is or the smell, but.......Man this car is f'ing fast!
