Install Sunroof?

Hi guys,

I currently own a FD without sunroof. Is it possible for me to transfer an existing FD sunroof into my ride? Is it safe to do so? Anyone here have done so, let me know....

Thanks alot...

Cheers,

Why would you want to ruin a perfectly good car?

I had my body man go through the work of taking mine out. I would've gladly traded you cars....

That would not be a smart thing to do IMO. Anything is possible, but I don't think it will look nearly as nice as a stock moon roof.

goodluck,

Just the sunroof only? No.

The roofs are structurally different between a sunroof and a non-sunroof top on the RX7 (and most other cars). While you can get a shop to mount an aftermarket sunroof for you, I would recommend you don't.

^ I am sure it can, but do you want to chop two FD's apart just to add a sunroof? Just buy another one before you do that!!!!

buy a factory sunroof skin for like 200, strip the stock skin (just the top layer) and put the new sunroof skin on (weld in place)... and there ya go... u just have to find a good body shop to do it.

Yes, glass moonroofs were available on the 94 and 95 models.

They are fairly rare.
