Yes. Without proper fuel management, your A/F ratio will run lean and you'll blow the engine.

Programmable ECU like the Apexi Power FC.

Get the Base Mod Map which comes on the newer PFC's, it should be enough for the mods you have planned.

or whether as exhaust montassi only N1 STYLE AND REAR CATBACK SECTION without downpipe would have the same problems?
the pfc would be indispensable?

If you remove the catalytic converters, that increases flow. When increasing flow, you need to compensate with more fuel. The FD does NOT use a MAF = Mass Airflow Sensor like most cars which can compensate a little for changes like that. It's uses a MAP based system which is pre-programmed and NOT self-adjusting. So increasing airflow (i.e. increasing boost) needs to be addressed by a programmable ECU.

That programmable ECU should be professionally tuned by someone who knows how to tune rotaries.

Fuel cut is in the stock ECU to stop you from getting into a situation which might harm the engine. So removing fuel cut removes any safe-guards protecting the engine which will expose the engine to danger.

Yes, the base map is already installed on a new PFC.

If you install ONLY the muffler and downpipe, you SHOULD be OK on the stock ECU, and NOT need to increase fuel with the PFC.
If you also install the the intakes and FMIC, you will need to control boost from "spiking" (suddenly rising too high) and damaging the engine. You can control the boost with a boost controller...usually an electronic boost controller.

I doubt that exhaust system is going to sound very good. It's cheap. Also i'd be careful with eBay downpipes, i hear they dont fit right a lot of times. Might be worth the extra cash and get one from rx7.com.
