Question Infini Y pipe kit?

Does an Infini Y pipe kit really give you horse power? Do any of you guys have one on your FD and also do you feel a horse power gain?

Mazda claims 10 additional HP with an efini y-pipe. It definitely helps. Good reliability mod too.

I purchased it for reliability issues.

I never felt any difference.

Same here, no noticable power difference.

Ari at www.rx7.com recently told me on a stock twin car running 15 psi they saw 10 rwhp increase on back to back runs.

I have thought about getting one, but I can't use the crossover piece b/c of my M2 intercooler, and the other section would have to be welded/extended to accomodate my larger CHRAs. Not sure if I want to blow 200 bucks to only use half of the kit, while mutilating the half that I do use. Of course, I plan to dyno at 20 psi, so at that level I suppose every bit helps......

the efini Y pipe gives better flow of air to the turbo, because on the stock y pipe if you take it out and look in it you will notice that middle hose cost a restriction on the air flow. it's a piece of pipe metal sticking out slowing down flow between the turbo, whereas the efini y pipe have a straight flow with no obstruction

I can get just a new y-pipe (13-240D) if that's all you're after (+ any of the gaskets, the o-ring, even the bolts).
