indiglo guage install
#4
guys, i got alot of flames for posting the original thread, but these things turned out beautifull! they start at that bright blue and fade all the way to green through 6 other colors. i paid $80 from a company called g2 motorsport, but i saw them yesterday(ebay) for a buy it now for $35. live and learn. it doesnt look riced out in my opinion, more elegant. they also dim. the install was a beast though, but if your mechanically inclined, youll figure it out. (if not, pm me) the end result speaks for itself, they work great and look better. good luck.

uposs, u got a point, the needles dont look lit up in the pic, but its unnoticable in person. i did notice after i opened up the guage cluster that there was only one bulb to light stuff up on that side of the cluster. only four bulbs all together. the guages dont interfere with the needle lights whatsoever, and all the bulbs work, so i guess this is just how mine are going to turn out.

IMO, i do not like them. too much color fighting between the factory amber colors, and the glowing green of all of the indiglo units lit up. however, it looks as if the quality of the lighting is OK, why does the oil pressure guage read sooooo low?

I'm sorry wha?
I just bougth soem reverse gauges. Rice or not, to everyone his own is true. I prefer the new back lit reverse set. They look very nice with the numbers lit up. I bought mine on ebay, so I will let you guys know if they are any good. Ad I will post some pics if they turn out nice. In my opinion the reverse set does look better, becasue it looks a lot sportier in my opinion. But those are nice too.

WTF is it rice? Can you explain to me what rice is? I lose all respect for people that use that term when they don't like someone's stlye with their car.
My opnion on them changes. Stock car, no. Heavily Modified, yes.

Looks good Raj perhaps you can post some things to look out for when installing them.....removing the hood getting the clusters out...do you have to remove the needles you know those kinds of things. Jack

I think they look pretty sweet. Are they the whole gauge, as in the needle and everything, or just that little piece of plastic with the writing on it?
I took my tach off to attempt to fix it, so I know the intricacies of the gauges by now. If they're the whole gauge, I might but some to try to fix my dead tach issue.
But in the meantime, they look nice. Good job!
