ignition break up at high RPMs?

i seem to get ignition break up at half throttle when boosting at high RPMs.

i dont get break up at WOT, but it seems to occur when the engine is about to reach boost equillibrium.

i was thinking about getting the HKS but i was wondering if this is normal or should there never be any break up?

Shouldnt break up then. Check your continuity of the wires with a ohm meter and make sure they are good. Check the plugs if they are fouled ( which they usually are) get new ones. I had one bad plug in mine, and it felt like i hit a brick wall when the second turbo came online. If everything else checks out take it and have the coils checked, if they are bad, it would be a good time to get the HKS, let me know how much you get it for!!

With regular everyday mode, you should not get break up before 7,000 rpms unlesssomething is broke or dying. i put a MSD on my honda, and i dont break up ignition at 10,400 rpms . check what i said first, then we'll go from there

Change plugs, plug wires, and then try again...Still happening after that? check your coils...Still happening, change out the crank angle sensors. Still happening after that? get a twin power. That's the route I went.

There's also a newer ignition coil harness from Mazda - the old one is prone to breaking down internally and causing ignition misfires. It's only like $75 or so.

I would start with plugs and wires - always the good first step with this kind of problem. If that doesn't do it, replace the coil pack harness with the updated part.
