I would only consider changing my FD for
- Paganni Zonda
- Lamborghini Diablo
- Ferrari F430 / Enzo

All other cars would have to be additional
Bought to keep !

In 1992 and 1993, the only two years in which FD was sold in Italy, it was listed at "today's" 60536 USD.
I cannot remember how much the Vette costed at that time but I think around 68000 USD
Today the Vette lists at 89000
Elise at 54000
F430 at 181650
S2000 at 48000
Gallardo at 174000
and the Exige at 58000
Zonda, Murcielago (and not Diablo) and Enzo are much much more expensive
and that both Lotuses are not exactly to be considered as a daily driver, when '7 was
I think the only that remains is the S2K
considering also that the price on the used market for the Lotus is very, very high, when it is not for the S2K being japanese

Hmm.. .a lot of people strayed from the original choices at the beginning of this really old thread...

btw: 181,650 for a F430... assuming you could get it at that price!

I've seen some people list their 430's for over $300k....

I have had a T78 RX8, BNR stage 2 TT RX7, and currently a T61 RX7 as well as an S5 TII, S4 TII, and two GXL's.....definately prefer single turbo FD's and will go single with the next one as well.

out of your list, i would pick the GTS..thats my aim..im still debating on either s/c or twin turbo..haha yes im already shopping for mods for that car and its not even in my driveway yet lol

2005 Corvette, a little wider, crazy fast in any gear, easy at the pump and made in the USA. The down side are the mid-life crisis jokes...

Porsche 997 GT3 or Lotus Elise... I don't know if the Elise could do it either, just a guess. I think the GT3 would do just fine though

A convertible, all wheel drive, with a power to weight ratio of less than 9lb per horsepower and a price under $30k. Know where I can find such a beast?

Agreed!!!

But, for a 'comparable' car, I'd say S2K. Not as fast, but 'reliable'

Heard it could have 500+ whp too (w/ lots of money)

The revival of this thread coincides with the greatly anticipated arrival of the 2006 Z06.

They made it almost TOO good!!

Almost. A friend of mine is actually out in Phoenix right now testing the Z06 against a Porsche, Viper, and some other cars. GM wanted a rep for the S.E. region to test this car out. GM also gave the very first one off the line to Rick Hendrick here in Charlotte. It's gonna be a bad-*** car!

I would consider this an upgrade.

Oh yea! I would definitely stick a 20b in it and it only weighs 2535 LBS.
