I searched so please dont flame me!!!

Im going to be doing a 13b-rew swap into my 84 GS and was wondering if it was practical to keep the stock turbo's.(only looking to put down 275 BHP) And if so, would they benefit from being modded so that they are not sequential?

If you are looking at 330 rwhp or less (note, rwhp, not bhp), then the stock twins are the way to go. Sequential vs non-seq has been discussed ad nauseum. You can do a search for non-sequential and my username, you'll get several long and thorough threads....

Set the motor in place and if the turbos clear the strut towers then great .If I put a 3rd gen motor in my 84 GSL-SE I would make it non seq .The complex system will be gone and the car is so light weight that nonseq should be good to go. My 84 is silver with red leather,so is my 94 ,also non seq .

I think you should have gone to the first gen section. A few guys have already have done this swap. But you would have to use the front cover and back plate/iron(i think) for it to be a drop in swap. If you do get a half cut or a used engine . Try to get on with the wires still on , that way you can use the original wiring . It would be less of a pain, plus you might be able to swap the stock ecu of the 13B-REW for a Power FC. Most RX7s that sold in the states only had like 250ish hp. With a simple intake , exhaust and tuning(most important) , 275 would be relatively easy. Remaing at that HP level would be hard :P

With Almost stock power levels , your US spec turbo would may be last about 50-80K miles.Depending a lot on tune, boost and abuse :P . A 99spec might last a little longer.

The Non-seq mod is mainly to get rid of the vaccum hoses/pills aka the"rat's nest" . Some also do it cause they are going single turbo. May be you wanna go 13B-RE stylee like Dysfnctnl85

Hope this helps

Im getting the complete motor, tranny, wirring harness, ecu, and whatever else I want at a screaming deal. I was going to turbo my 12a, but since this came across, I figured what the hell right? This is just my fun car Im dorking around with. I did all the research about the swap, but I was just curious about the turbo setup. Everything else is going to be a snap.

Wouldn't a 13B-RE twin turbo be easier to drop in an FB? I mean at least the motor mounts are on the right iron.
