The SAFC2 is near useless on stock injectors and only mildly useful with larger ones.
Faced with the powerFC its pretty much trash. What about your exhaust, intake, boost control? You could hit 13's with an intake, exhaust, and ecu pretty easily.

have known alot of people that have had problems with the Walbro pump. for a couple of extra buck (About $100) you can go with the denso.

I daily drive my FD, I think its perfectly reliable city temps stay around 180º. I get 300 miles with about 10gallons of fuel. The girls love the car compared to my street monster FC that gets 180miles to the tank...

Pettit Intercooler
PWR Radiator
Pettit intake
Straight back 3" exhaust
Pettit ECU
MBC set to 10psi
DEFI Water Temp Gauge
DEFI Boost Gauge

You should be in the high 12's with this setup (reliable, too):

1. PWR/Fluidyne Radiator
2. Stock ports
3. 13.5PSI w/ a SMIC (PFS, Greddy, etc.)
4. Modified Stock box w/ high flow filter or aftermarket airbox
5. Downpipe (HKS is "easy" to install)
6. Highflow cat (Metalicat)
7. Catback (PFS, RB, Apex'i, etc.)
8. Reprogrammed ECU (Pettit, M2, etc.)
9. Supra fuel pump
10. UD Main Pulley (optional)

Once you get to A:F controllers and fully programmable ECUs, there is a lot more room for error. The above setup is all just bolt-ons and can be installed on a slow weekend. The setup is a proven configuration from accredited shops such as M2 and Pettit and has been known to make power in excess of 300RWHP. It should put you easily into the 12's with great reliability.
