I have a little problem.
okay, well im putting on my x drilled and slotted rotors, and I guess the last time the pads were changed on my car (before I got them), the two studs that hold the caliper over the rotor were WAY over torqued. Now, I go to try and break them loose, and one of the rounds over crazy style. I thought about using the tapping tools, but its so overtorque I doubt it could take it off. What do you guys reccomend I do? Should I take it to a shop to get it cut off, drilled off and re-tapped, or what?
I dont like taking my car to any shjops, but I dont think theres any other alternative.
IF I do end up taking it to a shop to get it off, where do you guys reccomend?

Try the sears thing, and maybe vice grips. If those don't work (good chance they won't) you will probably have to cut the head off and get the caliper off. then you should be able to grip the bolt with vice grips and it should come out relativly easy with all the torque removed. Be carefull cutting, you don't want to damage the caliper(duh).

Well, they go through the caliper, so if I cut the head off, how would I get the rest of the stud out? drill it? I Really dotn want to drill and retap it =\

Try a small pipe wrench on the bolt head. If you grind the head off then the torque is gone ,so then drill in to the shank and use an eazy out . If you drill in the center carefully you can drill out the shank leaving the fine threads to be picked out with a sharp tool, no taping of threads needed .

a pipe wrench/ whats the difference?
And Im prolly just gonna end up cutting it off and then tapping the "shank" and trying to get it out then. How likely is it that this will work?

I dunno about a-spec, only because How far is it safe to drive with 3 tires having x drilled/ slotted rotors, and hwk HPS pads, and one front tire having crappy old rotors, and warn out pads?

should be fine for a short distance. to pull that bolt off you could quite honestly almost go to any mechanic that you can know and trust and pay him to try and pull it off.
