I Have The Anti-det On My Car
FWIW, I noticed KDR's web page changed recently. There is a new 'Innovations' page (blank, but perhaps ready for some new information?).
http://www.kdrotary.com/innovations.html
I wish someone would post something with a bit more substance.

Yes, the page is updated, and should have more information on it soon. They also post a new porting technique in the engine section. If I ever get a day off, I plan to drive down and talk to Dave or
Skip and get some information and maybe even some pictures.

this is all ive asked for. . . yet i get flamed or whatever you wish to call it for doing so. . . my only point is that the item is bunk until more proof is put out. . . pics are the least of it. . . people want dyno proof!!! reciepts of gas dont matter either. . . the numbers on the dyno graphs will prove enough. . . thats all i want. . . why oh why is that so hard to figure out. jeeeeeeeeeeeeez, you guys act like the force is upon us or something. . . well, maybe it is with this product. hahahaha.

Everyone: Contacted Skip at KDR today and asked if adding chicken broth in the gas would reduce detonation. Here is there reply-
Sir, you are correct that adding chicken broth to the gas will increase the octane rating of the gas by 7 points. I can't get into detail because we are trying to patent the idea but we have tried it on a few customers’ cars with great success. Hope this helps to answer your questions. Thanks.....Skip
Wow, this is great. I don't have any dyno numbers but everyone should trust me that chicken broth is great stuff.

If anyone on the west coast wants to see this "mod" up close and personal, we can definitely get together. I can tell you that Skip would NOT throw the BS flag on this one. My car has followed him from the west coast know to the east. We got together and he installed a fully built 13B-RE in my FC with Microtech running the stock twins for know. I know that FDTuner can vouch for him as well since we have seen his work first hand. Any ques. feel free.
OK, now that a few more people seem to know a bit more about this...or at least have talked to KDR about it...I'll reiterate my previous question: Is this device something that could be used effectively with a stock ECU (OK, say Pettit ECU to remove fuel cut issues...the point is, not easily tunable)? Or do you need some way to modify tuning to allow the device to work properly?

I have also talked with skip about this device. From what he said there are a few cars out there using it with no problems. This is also something that is not new and has been around for a couple of years. Their goal is to market thru shops that can install and support the product. Until there are more cars out there using it we are not going to get much more info than what we have now.

Point well made, lets all have patience and quit saying its a bunch of bs untill we get more cars on the road. I can understand the impatience, dyno results before and after would be cool.

I think they are following a wise course by keeping the technique under wraps, whether they are doing so because they are pursuing a patent or because they are just in the testing phase. They'll make a bundle if this works.

There is not going to be an patent. You cant really patent a device like that. Otherwise there would be only 1 manufacture of intercoolers, airboxes, ecu's, etc.

Have u been directly involved on patents on both the development and legal side?
First off....... there is no information on what this "product" is. So how can u or anyone even toss this notion in the mix?
Intercoolers and airboxes are not very good examples since it's most likely that they have exceeded their 20 year limit on a patent.
However, each of these components can have a unique patent in their respective design. For example, someone designs a new radical cooling fin for the intercooler and that can be a patentable feature and function. This means that other people can still build intercoolers, just not ones with that specific fin design, unless they got expressed approval from the owner of that respective patent usually through some kinda licensing and royalty agreement.
With being said, u might, as a consumer see 2 or more differenct intercooler makers using the same fins.
There are 2 reasons for this.
1. As earlier stated, there was some kinda legit permission to implement it
2. Yes, the other guys copied him, since most people that make aftermarket products usually don't bother with the patent due to the time and expense involved. Let alone a good patent attorney/firm.

Man, i've been watching all this hoopla for a while now.
You're all bitching at each other on various threads, and claiming BS, and in some cases even tarnishing someone's name.
If you don't want to believe it works, fine. Shut up about it already. Go on with your life.
It seems that people want info on what it is, and that's fine. but, accept the fact that until a patent is attained, you probably won't be able to get the exact info you want. Too bad. They probably don't want info to get out for the mere fact that they don't want anyone copying it.
It's understandable to be skeptic, i'm skeptic as well, but just let people make their own choices without being chastised. The details will come out eventually. Everyone will know of it's BS or not.
We all just need to relax. Keep in mind i'm not singling anyone out here..

I can already see the lack of knowledge regarding patents from much of the folks on here.
Furthermore, since every shop knows that they can get hit with a barrage of **** talk about their product/service then it's in their keen interests (and ultimately that of the customers) to make sure that this thing does what it does and that it does it consistently.

"It's been around a while" ?
Really?
So why hasn't anybody marketed it yet? Look at the 7 pages of interest here. That's a shitload of money somebody isn't making. I don't buy that it's been around for a while. I also don't buy that it isn't some gimmick.
If anybody would have thought of this it would be Mazda, not some small tuner shop.

hehe, it could have been in "testing" for a while. i highly doubt people saying this thing is bunk is gonna sway skip from marketing the product. hes simply getting ready for the storm. . . now does that make any sense?
