the problem was a hole in my muffler! the reason why this is awesome because when i told my parents this and how i really wanted to get an a'pexi n1 single tip, they were actually kinda for it! so since i failed, i was able to get an exhaust out of it (i'm paying for it, but i am now able to get it)

I failed last year for that same reason... it's pretty rediculus. The muffler has nothing to do with emmisions

it wasn't emissions, it was simply the VA inspection

it sucks that you have to have permission to spend your own money on your own car though. especially since its a sports car. i remember having to pull the same crap back when i was 16 and modding my truck. finally i said screw it and i just showed up with my truck dropped on a set of rims. i was grounded for about an hour, at which point they didnt want to take me anywhere. good luck though.

Eh, My parents hate me buying **** for my car cause they figure - 10 yr old car, why spend money on it but they can care less on what I really do with it.

So far I installed a new system, neon's, reliability, and all they can say is, "just make sure you don't have the IRS on you". =)
