I can't get any boost....
So over the past week I've done quite a few mods to my bone stock FD.
This is what I've done:
-Pettit Racing Off Road CAI
-Bonez Downpipe
-Bonez Resonated Midpipe
- Reinhard Exhaust
- Power FC
With the power FC I cut the 4 wires for the AWS, EGR solenoid, Split Air Bypass and EGR switch. I learned the idle in the correct fashion and uploaded this map:
A'PEXi Power FC : View
The things that I didn't do:
- Remove the air pump - I just left this in place, and didn't cap it at all with a filter
- I didn't touch the EGR
- I did remove the pipe that went into the old catalytic convertor, I removed it, I didn't cap the line.
-Cap the second air line at the back of the engine.
I didn't do many of these things because the Pettit off road CAI didn't come with hoses to hook them up, and after researching the board it didn't look like these lines were important.
Here are some pictures of the engine bay right now. as well as the parts I removed:
So I took the car out for a shakedown run after this, and it seemed slow, and I check the power FC's boost readout and it's consistently in vacuum until about 4,000 rpm and there it's only slightly in boost with a maximum I was able to achieve of .24 bar.
So I wanted to ask, other than rechecking all my hoses to make sure everything is clamped properly, is there something I did wrong? Do I need to clamp or close anything to get boost?
Sorry I've been researching the forum for the past 2 days and haven't really gotten a firm answer for how much of a dumbass I am.
