Maybe you didn't get more hits because wheel sizing/offsets have been discussed to death..there's even a sticky for them.
HP wheels are just another middling quality cast wheel. The size/offsets you listed in the other thread will fit just like Mahjik posted in your other thread -- they will likely work fine. Proper tire sizes would be 225/40 (or 235/40) and 255/35 (or 265/35, will be close to fender lips).

I have 19" running 245/35 8.5 front and 285/30 9.5 rear. The rears are new dunlop sp8000. Some rub (less than 1/2 inch clearance, adjusting coilovers tommorrow). Still have Falken FK451 up front (no rub). Use to have 275/30 falkens on the rear with no problem. The FK451's taper in more than other tires.

Wow! Thanks for the input. I realize that the offset thing has been beat to death. I have been searching the forum for the last month or so. Kept getting differing opinions. Someone put a great excel document together with ideal offsets and posted it. Great stuff, but according to this document, a 38 mm offset won't work.
Anyway, sounds like they will work.
he thinks
I have Eibock springs on all 4 corners, so the car is lowered. Wish I had a coil over set up to be able to tweak. I hope I don't run into problems.
Are any of you guys getting damage to the fenders? I was looking at some ADR M-Sport 19s that another forum member is selling. He says that his fenders are pretty messed up from them. 19s seem a bit big. He told me that the 18s will do the same damage. Any truth to that?

Diameter (up to an 18" size) has NOTHING to do with fender lip damage or hitting the fender liner. That's why you run lower profile tires. I suggest you read up on the "Plus sizing" concept at www.tirerack.com.
With being lowered and with low offset wheels up front (which +38 is), you have a much greater chance of catching the fender lip. This will occur during situations where the suspension is being compressed while turning -- entering a steep driveway while turning for example. If you are careful, this shouldn't be a problem, and you can always roll the fenders if it becomes one. If you are THAT worried about this problem occuring, I suggest you find wheels that fit better.
